Michael’s sly, sinuous bass lines have become a fitting foundation for Grayceful Daddies’ eclectic sound. He’s a native of Trenchtown in Kingston, Jamaica, where he forged his own musical tastes in the country’s musical melting pot of the late 1970s and 1980s. He taught himself to play bass and refined his chops on the resort circuit of Jamaica's north coast. His perfectionism earned him the “Daddy” name “DeuceDaddy”: the guy who wants to rehearse every song twice, until everything’s precisely in the pocket.
